Gesture makes the structure.
Sonia’s photographs begin with the body as a working form. Garment, architecture and ordinary places are activated through pressure, colour and an exact physical gesture.
The same attention moves into production: how an image is built, how a team is held together, and how the final sequence gains meaning.

The edit keeps the photographs that feel authored rather than merely well-produced: active bodies, uneasy crops, hard colour and surfaces that resist easy polish.

Nothing is truly finished.
Through cyanotype, discarded translucent matter becomes an unstable presence: object, memory, trace. The work connects material transformation with the act of looking after what would otherwise disappear.
